My silver shoes is a hard book to comment on really and write a review. It's about my Grandmother's generation and a daughter's perspective looking after her mother when she gets dimentia. The storyline isn't at all very grabbing or exciting, I just found the book quite comical and funny throughout. There are quite a few characters in the book but don't let this put you off, the general idea i found was fun and not being your stereotypical ill or aged woman. I gave this book to my friend to read after me as I was interested in what other people my age would take of the book, however she didn't really take to it and said she didn't like it and wanted to put the book down without finishing it. I totally disagree I thought it was worth a read, however I wouldn't read one of Nell Dunn's books again as I don't like her style of writing very much, it's quite sharp and blunt.***-3 Star Rating.
